A page for Demián Rugna's English-language horrAR (i.e., Argentine horror) movie The Last Gateway has been added to GOMORRAHY.com; on that page are a stills gallery and downloadable trailer for the movie.

As was reported here on ScreenAnarchy back on August 27th of last year, The Last Gateway is based on Rugna's "La última entrada", a 25-minute Spanish-language horrAR short from 2003. In addition to having directed "La última entrada", Rugna wrote the screenplay for, produced (together with Mariano Ferreris), edited, and created the special effects for it. It starred Demián Salomón, Carlos Larrañaga, Mara Sol López, and Daniel Ruggieri.

The screenplay for The Last Gateway was written by Rugna. The movie stars Rodrigo Aragón as Michael, Salomé Boustani as Marianne, Patricio Schwartz as John, and Hugo Halbrich as Victor. Kevin Schiele and Adrian Spinelli are also in it. Hernán Findling was the production manager for it; he himself directed the English-language horrAR movie Director's Cut.

Here's a synopsis for The Last Gateway from the production: "What if you had the power to create a Gateway to hell? What if by mistake you opened it up in the body of a stranger? What if that stranger was your next-door neighbor?

Marianne and Michael, recently married, come to discover that their peaceful lives are about to be turned upside down once Michael discovers he has the Gateway to hell hidden in his stomach. The problem is not only the people who are after the Gateway but also those who want to escape from hell, through the same doorway.

And so the nightmare begins..."

Rugna also wrote the screenplay for Daniel de la Vega's English-language horrAR movie Death Knows Your Name.
