The official website for Yoshimitsu Morita's Sanjuro (Tsubaki Sanjûrô) is online.

As was reported here on ScreenAnarchy back on May 20th of last year, Sanjuro (Tsubaki Sanjûrô) is a remake of Akira Kurosawa's 1962 classic of the same title. The screenplay for it is the same one that was used for Kurosawa's film, which was written by Ryûzô Kikushima, Hideo Oguni, and Kurosawa, based on the novel Nichinichi heian by Shûgorô Yamamoto. It stars (listed order corresponds to order on cast page of official website) Yûji Oda, Etsushi Toyokawa, Ken'ichi Matsuyama, Anne Suzuki (Suzuki An), Eri Murakawa, Kuranosuke Sasaki, Tsuyoshi Hayashi, Ichitarô, Yoshihiro Kasuya, Kazuhito Tomikawa, Kimito Totani, Ryôhei Suzuki, Yûkichi Kobayashi, Takuya Nakayama, Morio Kazama, Tokuma Nishioka, Nenji Kobayashi, Tamao Nakamura, and Makoto Fujita.

Toho Co. Ltd. (Tôhô K.K.) plans to release Sanjuro theatrically in Japan in December of next year.
