Though he's never broken internationally the way many thought he would, those in the know are often quite adament that Hong Sang Soo is one of the very finest film makers working in South Korea - if not the world - today. Woman Is The Future Of Man wins great acclaim wherever it is seen and the rest of his filmography is likewise much loved. So a new film by Hong is something of an event in certain circles, and the trailer for his latest - Woman on the Beach has just turned up online.

The verdict? For some reason the blend of music and editing has me thinking P.T. Anderson, when Mr. Magnolia is in one of his more playful moods. Which is, of course, a very good thing.
