DVD: Ivan Zuccon's BAD BRAINS, w/ Emanuele Cerman, Valeria Sannino, Matteo Tosi, Kristina 'Kitty' Ce

Epix Media AG plans to release Ivan Zuccon's Bad Brains on DVD (22223; PAL, region 2, w/ English subtitles) in Germany in November.

As was previously reported here on ScreenAnarchy, the screenplay for Bad Brains was written by Ivo Gazzarrini, and - like Zuccon's short "Degenerazione" (1998) - was based on the story "Just Before Delirium" by Enrico Saletti. The movie stars Emanuele Cerman as Davide, Valeria Sannino as Alice, Matteo Tosi as Mirco, Kristina Cepraga (a.k.a. Kitty Cepraga) as Monica, Valter D'Errico as Michele, Lorenza Damiani as Luce (Davide and Alice's daughter), Liliana Letterese as Cheti, Roberta Marrelli as Alice's mom, Cristiana Vaccaro as the whore, Chiara Pavoni as Beatrice, and Maria Loana Gloriani as the girl who survives.

Here's a synopsis for Bad Brains from the official subsite for the movie: "Davide and his fiancee Alice aren't two simple serial killers. They are looking for something inside the bodies of their victims, which forms the mystery of the story. And they will continue to kill people until they find what they are looking for. Their crazy love story and strange research go on, but something changes when they meet a weird man named Mirco. This guy seems to know many things about Alice and Davide's past, and it seems that he isn't scared of them."

Zuccon's next movie is NyMpha, starring Tiffany Shepis; it's scheduled to start shooting in September.
