Custodes Bestiae (Keepers of the Beast) and LidrÎs cuadrade di trê (Square root of three): No Bud

I received an email a couple days back asking if I would like to take a look at the new DVD releases of a pair of films by young Italian film maker Lorenzo Bianchini, a man who has built something of a cult following - and made a major fan of Bava / Argento / Fulci screenwriter Dardano Sacchetti - based on his two ultra low budget feature films, Custodes Bestiae (Keepers of the Beast) and LidrÎs cuadrade di trê (Square root of three). Bianchini has turned enough heads, in fact, that some of the people involved with the Udine Far East Film Festival have launched their own DVD label (Centro Espressioni Cinematografiche) to get these things out there. With a pedigree like that I, of course, said yes and while the films themselves have not yet arrived, the trailers have and I now pass them along to you.
