I just got a note from sethdove steering me to check out a little Greek film titled Evil, which apparently is the first Greek zombie film ever. Now, I don't know about you, but I've been to Athens and the concept of the dead roaming the streets in a city where you are literally surrounded by buildings and artifacts thousands of years old, a city where the dead control quite a lot of the living's politics thanks to the intense cultural protection laws, pretty potent.

The trailer is light on money shots, but the film just played at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, where it earned some solid praise and sethdove assures me that the trailer doesn't do the film justice. If nothing else the director has paid his genre dues ... a previous film was a short titled Rectum.
