Capote is the biopic of novelist Truman Capote, who is best known for his blending of non-fiction stories told via a novel (And is in some small way responsible for the tag "Based on a True Story"). The film follows his research for "In Cold Blood" a novel which stars out as a New Yorker article about the murder of the Clutters family at the hands of two young men whom Capote gets to know. (Canadiana factoid: Winnipeg, Canada provides the shooting locations for the film, instead of Kansas)
Sony Pictures Classics sepia toned website is sadly lacking a trailer at the moment. With (genius) Philip Seymour Hoffman in the lead role and supporting roles from Catherine Keener, Chris Cooper, Bruce Greenwood, Bob Balaban and Marshall Bell you can't really go wrong in the acting department.
Capote has its world premiere at the New York Film Festival where it will screen along with Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, Manderlay, Bubble, A Tale of Cinema, Cache, The Presidents Last Bang and as mentioned below Good Night, and Good Luck.
