Update on Atsushi Muroga's THE CRUEL STONE (KAIZOKU JINGI)

The official webpage for Atsushi Muroga's The Cruel Stone (Kaizoku jingi) - the festival (i.e., original) title of which was "Yûsha no hihô" - is now online, and there's a trailer for the movie on that page. The movie is scheduled to be released on DVD and VHS in Japan by GP Museum Soft on August 25. As was previously reported here on ScreenAnarchy, it was shot in the Philippines. Its principal cast is as follows: Hitoshi Ozawa (he's also in Tatsuhiko Takada's Blood Angel: Sister of Heart (Buraddo enjeru: shisutâ obu hâto) and Kei Nakata's Muhito: The Matchless Man (Muhito)), Mikio Ôsawa, Saori Amakawa, Shû Ehara, Tetsuya Yûki, Susumu Terajima, and Hirohisa Nakata (he is Kei Nakata's uncle).
